Kaala Raathri

Kaalaraathri is the mother of the temple guardian. Both are the main goddesses of the Allada form. Madayankoolam temple is the abode. This deity is believed to have come from the form of Nediyirippu. According to legend, Shiva performed the Tandava dance to calm the anger of Kaalaraathri, who was born to destroy the demon Damukhan, and the temple guardian is her son.
